Suitcase: Brestovac Sanatorium

If you like hiking + abandoned places - visit the ruins of Brestovac Sanatorium at the mountain Medvednica (Zagreb, Croatia). Spooky mood is on, people!

Those were some of the photos taken along the hiking trail.

The sanatorium opened in 1909 for patients with tuberculosis. There are several buildings, all in ruins. It's all quite big. Used for paintball gaming these days...

Get out of your house and explore!

Suitcase: Lošinj Archipelago By Boat

Do you like sailing while exploring little islands, beaches and coves? Then you should take a tour around Lošinj. Here are photos from my trip around the Islands of Ilovik, Oruda and Palacol.

Above are monastery ruins on the Island of Palacol and sandy shallows between Palacol and Oruda, which are great for swimming and diving.

The Island of Ilovik is inhabited, but it only has a few streets and a harbor. I liked the most its palm trees and flowers.

So, how do you like it? I think it's wild and beautiful. And this isn't even a half of the archipelago! Sail away and explore!

Suitcase: Veli Lošinj

It's summer so this time my Suitcase post is about a place on the cost - Veli Lošinj. This small town on the island of Lošinj is where I spend my summers. It's half an hour away (by foot) from Mali Lošinj which is bigger but less beautiful.

I like its tiny streets, colorful facades, flowers, trees, rocks and nature in general. The quality of air is perfect for health tourism.

You can relax on one of many beaches or in a hotel with infinity pool. You can also rent a bike or boat, go for a walk, run, hike, play tennis, go on a day trip... There's a museum, a tiny submarine, a few churches, many restaurants and endless footpaths. And party people would enjoy traditional events, holidays and even (but rarely) nightlife.

In the next post I'll focus on nature. I have so many photos of Veli Lošinj...
Yep, all photos by me.
