Rec: Came Back Haunted

Nine Inch Nails. I have a hughe crush on this music video. It's directed by David Lynch (how awesome is that!) and the song is very good too.
It's so mesmerising but disturbing at the same time. When you watch it fullscreen in the dark it makes you kind of transcedent. And I love the colours and esthetics. I wish there were more videos like this one, in terms of art.

It's interesting that it remindes me of 'Vertigo' by Albert Hitchcock, of that part with falling. Remember the poster?

Runway: Colours

This was my first ever outfit on Polyvore. It contains my favourite colour-tirquoise, and my favourite non colour-black. I think it's perfect for summer weekend nights out. (Yup, still weeping for summer.)

Although I adore tirquoise, I must admit I don't own any piece of clothing in this colour. It's because whenever I see something nice, the colour is not perferct enough. Sometimes I think that this shade that I'm looking for doesn't even exist. Then again, recently I read (on Tumblr, the endless source of wisdom) that we can't imagine new colours. I know.

Dark Room: Summertime Sadness

Another summer is over, I can sense it all around. The exams are getting closer, it's raining for a few days in a row, I keep stumbling onto more and more interesting things that need better examination but have less and less time, kids are back in town, and I already started making plans for another summer. So all that's left are memories.
This is such a lovely photo diary from Wildfox. These two vintage girls are sensational. Palmsprings and San Francisco, such fun places for a vacation.

You'll find also photos from Seattle and Austin, as well as their clothes shop :-)

Bookmark: Essential web pages

My essencial web pages. Thank you for existing.

1)) blogger.com
Of course, blogs. I follow mostly fashion blogs (that's how I got involved in that 'inspirational' part of the internet, when I was in high scholl, copying outfits), but I also like blogs that combine photography and lifestyle, as well as those that are artistically/visually interesting.

2)) tumblr.com
Tumblr is an addiction. You can scroll down infinitly, looking at those lovely (or sometimes epic) pictures and words (oooh gif-s <3)... For me number one place to do nothing and still feel productive coz "you're soaking inspiration". And if you didn't know, there are some real portals that use Tumblr as their platform, with real articals or reviews, so it's not only about reblogging cool pictures.

3)) lookbook.nu
I just love this page!! This is how I discover new blogs. I notice a lovely outfit, than go through the other outfits of the person. If I like it, I check out the blog. If I like what I see, I follow. It's pretty simple.

4)) youtube.com
I use it only for music. I watch music videos, live performances and interviews. I also always link songs that I post on other sites like social networks and blogs to this channel. You people can then find other work by this artist if you like the song. And that's the best thing about this site. You can so easily discover new music. I usually like two or three songs by the same artist (or just one, but very very much) and then go on YouTube to hear the rest.

5)) vimeo.com
On this video channel I search new artists. I usually go through 'Staff Picks' and click on what appeals me with it's title or still. Than I go on web page of the artist to see the rest. Lately I found a lot of timelapse photographers. I struggle to find the most unique ones coz I can't add every single one of them in 'Favourites' on my browser. There are so many of them!

6)) polyvore.com
Polyvore is like a fairyland for fashion lovers (and future stylists ;-) ). I'm not signed up, but I save my crations with 'PrintScreen' :-P There's tons of clothes and accessorize that you can put together to crate perfect looks. And you can daydream what would you wear if you had a lot of money :-)

7)) fashionising.com
I follow 'Photo Shoots' section. They regularly post scans of editorials from well-known fashion magazines. And it's made so cool, with data about photographer, models, stylist, make-up artist etc.

8)) google streetview
Hahaa yeah. I'm not that often on this page, only when I have a lot of free time, but it's perfect. Pick a city you want to explore, pick a street and start your seightseeing. I could spend hours like that.

As a matter of fact, I could spend hours on ALL of these pages. I use social networks where I follow other portals about music, events, science, fashion, art, but these are all Croatian.

I wanted to post a pic, but I'm out of ideas and I should start studying. Maybe one from Tumblr? You can find it on my tumblr:

Intro

Hy there you darling reader! I'm interested in photography (sort of a hobby), art, fashion, music, film, travel and all those little things which make life bearable. And I have tons of it on my laptop, as well as in my head. So I imagined this blog as my warehouse. I can keep here all those pictures which are saved on my computer righ now and all my ideas. Well, it's not forbidden for you to read it. I hope you'll find inspiration in my posts. That would make me really happy. I guess because it makes me feel like I'm making some difference in this (artificial) world. Your comments are more than wellcome. The blog will have sections like 'Runway' (fashion), 'Walkman' (music), 'Rec' (video), 'Dark Room'  (photography), 'Cro' (things from my coutry-Croatia-because we have a lot to show too), 'Gallery' (art), 'Bookmark' (literature) and so on, which you can also find by tags. Oh and please forgive me for my language/writing mistakes. My english is not at the highest level, but this is a good practice.

That's me in Rome this summer. Just coz I think it's polite to introduce yourself. I'm not planning to post pictures of myself quite that often in the future.
