Fransois Mansart is a 17th-century French architect. He introduced classicism into Baroque architecture of France. He designed mansions and churches, mainly in Paris. Only the richest could afford to have him work for them. Most of Mansart's buildings were subsequently reconstructed or demolished.
I like the simetry of his buildings, multitude of windows and uneven roof. Also, the gardens in front are gorgeus.
Chateau de Mantions (in the next few pictures) is the best preserved example of his mature style. It also uniquely retains the original interior decoration.
