Runway: Vintage Elegance

Vintage elegance is the best. Pleasant to the eye, comfortable and pretty. And you feel like a movie star, right?

Vintage with a modern twist is my favourite. Lengt, hight, materials, colours... Clothes from past decades in all sorts of variations. And the best thing is, it's suitable for every occasion.

Gallery: Waves Of Colours

I'd rather have photos all over my walls, than paintings. But these are, OMG, fabulous! Wout Werensteijn paints colourful, fluid, ornamental pictures. You can see something on each of them. Something like the Rorschach test.

Werensteijn mostly uses silk gloss or oilpaint onto vinyl or plastic. He also uses latex.

The one above - cells through a microscope, anyone?
I would like too see the real paintings. The texture and size. On my wall, if possible :-)

You can find all his work here: w-out.deviantart.com
It's free to download.

Dark Room: Exorcism

I really LOVE experimenting. Here is my attempt to get a cool blurry face (like in the first photo, yay for me). Instead, I got fighting-demons look.

All photos by me.

Btw, this is not photoshoped. Even the blue illumination. Just long exposure.

The photos with trees are negatives.
The next one is so awesome. Looks like root systems.

The quality is kinda bad when I post this on the blog. I'm sorry, idk why.

Wallpaper: Dream Interor

OMG, I think I found my favourite interior designer. Verner Panton. Worked from the 1950-s until the 1990-s, from Denmark. Absolutely splendid.

Locations: 1. Varna Restaurant, Arhus, Denmark
2. Lobster Bar, Furniture Fair Cologne
3. Gurner & Jahr Publishing House, Hamburg

Look at those colours, shapes, lamps, ceilings, floors, walls, chairs... He really thought of everything. And it screams retro.

Locations: 1. The Astoria Hotel and Restaurant in Trondheim, Norway, restaurant
2. The Astoria Hotel and Restaurant in Trondheim, Norway, cafe
3. Private appartment Hasenrain

I can't even decide is it retro or futuristic. If I ever own a hotel... You know. :-)

"...one of Denmark's most influential 20th-century furniture and interior designers. During his career, he created innovative and futuristic designs in a variety of materials, especially plastics, and in vibrant and exotic colors. His style was very "1960s" but regained popularity at the end of the 20th century; as of 2004, Panton's most well-known furniture models are still in production (at Vitra, among others)." Locations: 1. Spiegel Publishing House in Hamburg, canteen
2. Spiegel Publishing House in Hamburg, waiting area
3. Spiegel Publishing House in Hamburg, swimmig pool

Now take a look on his furniture. The most beautiful lightning ever.

For much much more visit his web-site: www.verner-panton.com

Have you seen Kubrick's "A Clockwork Orange"? Does it remind you of the movie?

Also, I found this very good article about Verner (the movie is mentioned too, how funny). This is how my post was ment to look like, but you know my wrighting skills are poor haha! Read it: www.yellowtrace.com.au/verner-panton-interiors-restaurant-varna-spiegel-verlagshaus/

Runway: Informal Event

What to wear, what to wear...? I struggle with that issue every day. *sigh* What to wear for an informal event? You can't just wear tracksuit, and evening dress is too much. I think you shoud combine casual and eye-catching pieces.

Or, you can put cool make-up on, like shiny nail-polish or eye-shadow in bright colours.

Or accessoires: sunlglasses, elegant bags, massive jewelry...
