"My work is an exploration and re-presentation of natural organic forms both mineral and vegetal. I look for patterns and repeated motifs that run through natural phenomena at different scales, from the microscopic to the macroscopic, from individual cells to large scale geological formations. (...) I want to communicate my fascination with the immense complexity and intricacy of natural forms and this is why the process behind my work is so important. Each sculpture is hugely time consuming and labour-intensive and this work is an essential element not only in the construction but also in the meaning of each piece. The finished artefact is really only the ghostly fossilized vestige of this slow, long process of realisation." (roganbrown.com)

These remind me of something living, like fungi or neurons... Or just-life. Inspiring.

Runway: Sporty

Lately I don't feel like dressing up, especially when spending my days at the seaside. I wear mostly casual and comfortable clothes and swimwear. By casual I don't mean sweatpants and t-shirts. I actually feel comfortable in skirts, loose tanks and sweaters, denim... Also, colours and patterns play a big role. It's something soft, monochrome, or with simple pattern like stripes, florals or animal print. And simple jewellery.

Flats like sandals and sneakers are a must. Also-sunglasses.

Walkman: Passive Agressive

The other day I wanted to hear something calm to relax. Then I found myself listening to London Grammar, not relaxed but burning inside. So, here's some powerful things:

1. 'Over The Love' by Florence + The Machine

2. 'Only Time' by Enya

3. 'Home' by Daughter

4. 'Sights' by London Grammar

5. 'Crystalized' by The XX

What do you think? Soothing & exciting, huh?

Gallery: Cement Eclipses

'Cement Eclipses' is an art project by Isaac Cordal. It's about creating miniature cement figures in public places around the world. These cute skeletons are from Chiapas, Mexico.

"While the meaning behind each tiny sculpture is intentionally ambiguous, it’s impossible to look at each piece without imagining a story. The pieces often appear in scenes of mourning or despair, as part of what Cordal says is commentary on humankind’s disregard for nature and as foreshadowing of potential consequences." (Colossal)

"The sympathetic figures are easy to relate to and to laugh with. They present fragments in which the nature, still present, maintains encouraging symptoms of survival. The precariousness of these anonymous statuettes, at the height of the sole of the passers, represents the nomadic remainders of an imperfect construction of our society. These small sculptures contemplate the demolition and reconstruction of everything around us. They catch the attention of the absurdity of our existence." (cementeclipses.com)

Cro: Who's That Girl

The most stylish Croatian girl is Petra Kurtela. Full stop.

Honestly, I think that Croatians could be more stylish. They are quite boaring and conservative/messy with no in between.
Petra combines vintage and modern pieces with such joy. Also, modern pieces are styled vintage, and those vintage are styled modern. What a twist!

She's not affraid of graphics, different footwear, materials and hairstyles. Casual or glam.

Petra Kurtela is a 31-year-old actress, but she is a kid at heart. Just look at all her cuteness!
